This weapon is capable of a 1 shot kill as of the new update. It have an extremely slow fire rate, a fair capacity but no reload, and average mobility.
It does medium damage, a slow fire rate, and low capacity, but has decent mobility. It's recommended for players between levels 12 and 36.

* This weapon is an excellent choice for closed corridors such as the main hallway in silent school or the changing rooms in Pool Party as it is very hard to avoid the big ghosts.
* Fire it at close ranges, as it's slow-moving projectile can be avoided at long ranges.

  +
* Never use this weapon at long ranges as it has a bullet travel time, and the ghost will disappear after a while.
* Fire it in tight corridors, in maps such as Pool Party.

  +
* This weapon is very powerful as of the 13.1.0 update, with its damage buffed back to a 1 shot kill.
* The weapon is useful in guarding choke points, hallways, and specific points on the map, especially in Point Capture and Flag Capture maps, as the slow-moving projectile prevents attackers from proceeding.

  +
* This weapon does travel through walls, so if you see a name tag over a wall that you are near, fire and hopefully get a kill.
* The ghost will disappear after a certain period of time, this is useful for covering an area from enemies.

* This weapon has a very slow fire rate so one has to do the quick swap exploit if one misses their shot.
+
* This weapon has a slow fire rate. After you fire it, switch to another weapon and use that weapon until you can fire again.
  +
* This weapon is one of the best Block Crash weapons in the game because it destroys tons of blocks at once if used correctly.
**However, this exploit got fixed in the 12.5.0 update, where this weapon, if fired and the user switches back into it, there is a cool down to fire another shot.

*Bodyshots from this weapon became survivable in the 12.5.0 update, but there is still the exception for headshots.
+
* Switch to another weapon when fired, as the slow charging time can make a user vulnerable.

* The weapon is useful for guarding choke points, hallways, and specific points on the map, especially in Point Capture and Flag Capture maps, as the slow moving projectile prevents attackers from proceeding.
*Use this to heavily weaken (or even destroy) enemy Mechs or Turrets.

  +
* Pick-off its users at long range. It will not hit you at long range because the ghost breaks after a while. Plus, you can see the ghost a long way so you can easily avoid it.
* Pickoff its users from long ranges.

  +
* Try not to get near its projectiles, since you may be killed.
* When the user fires the weapon, try to evade the path of the projectile, while also keeping an eye on the user.

  +
* Don't get in close range (unless doing so from behind). Rocket jump or use a melee to get out of the situation.
* If engaged in a close quarter fight, try strafing around the user.

  +
* Use flamethrowers, Ninja Shurikens, or whatever other weapons are good at an emergency situation. At the worst-case scenario, use this weapon, or the Soulstone, yourself. If you are good with snipers, no- scope the Ghost Lantern user.
* Avoid getting trapped in areas where the ghost is heading, as the projectile can pass through objects.

  +
* Attack the user from behind.
* Always avoid tight hallways like the ones in Silent School, as this weapon has a massive hitbox. Try retreating before the ghost-like "bullet" reaches to you and kills you.

  +
* Use the atrocious fire rate as your advantage, allowing you to dodge its projectiles (provided you maintain its distance).
* In cramped hallways, you have a high chance of dying due to the massive hitbox and the quick swapping glitch. You may die, but if you want to get a kill, try using the Trapper, by aiming to the head.

  +
* Rocket jump to avoid the ghost.
* Use the Ninja Shurikens against its users.

  +
* Avoid areas with tight corners.
* Try to attack from the side of the person as the Ghost lantern also doubles as a shield from projectile-based weapons like the Barrier Rifle, or the Laser Disc Thrower.

  +
* In somewhat open areas, a player can use a weapon with the "Slows Down Target" attribute such as the Icicle Minigun (PG3D) or the Frost Beam Spell to prevent the user from approaching, making the ghosts very easy to dodge even with rapid fire.
*Avoid even playing on maps like Silent School or Pool Party due to the fact that this weapon's projectiles have abnormally large hitboxes.

* Try to attack from the side of the user as the Ghost lantern also doubles as a shield from projectile-based weapons like the Barrier Rifle, or the Laser Disc Thrower.

  +
*Using the Reflector (Gadget) can kill the user although be mindful about your health and armor too.
