The Grades System is a feature in-game introduced in the 11.0.0 update. It classifies different weapons, pets, and other miscellaneous items found in the Armory based on their "rarity" of obtaining and overall power, both increasing in correlation with the grade. There are 5 grades: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythical. In update 18.2.0, the grade "Uncommon" was removed for weapons and pets, and most weapons of this grade had theirs moved up to Rare.

Grades (Weapons)

Shotgun-rarity

The 5 different power grades.

Common

  • Weapons with this grade are generally the weakest, most underpowered and mediocre weapons compared to the other grades. Although there are some weapons in this category with decent statistics, these weapons are generally only used in lower levels, and are unviable higher up. These cannot be upgraded, but modules can still be inserted into them. Only the "Newbie Arsenal" (e.g. the Machine Gun) weapons have this grade, but older updates had many other weapons in this category before they were moved up to Rare.

Uncommon

  • Weapons with this grade are usually weapons with either useful or tactical functions, and have average statistics. However, in high levels, these weapons are below-average. In the 15.3.0 update, the Uncommon grade was removed permanently, and all purchasable weapons (including Common and Uncommon crafted weapons) were moved up to the Rare grade. However, there is a glitch that could allow your weapon to be seen as moved to the Common grade. Examples included the AK-48 and Tesla Cannon.
    • This grade is still present on some hats.

Rare

  • Weapons with this grade are usually decent, and have some limited functions and average statistics. These weapons are rarely seen at higher levels, and are often only used as cheaper options. However, upgrading some Rare weapons to Epic or Legendary can greatly boost their performance. Examples include the Neon Fighter and Last Hope.

Epic

  • Weapons with this grade are usually weapons with decently high and mildly powerful statistics. These weapons are fairly good at high levels and some Epic weapons, like the Hellraiser, can perform better than certain Legendary ones.

Legendary

  • Weapons with this grade are usually very powerful and perhaps overpowered (OP) weapons. These weapons are perhaps the best accessible options at high levels, since they are often easier to obtain than Mythical ones. Examples include the Secret Forces Rifle and Exterminator.

Mythical

  • Weapons with this grade are usually insanely powerful and multiple abilities, but also is expensive or hard to obtain. This is despite this grade forming the majority of the game's obtainable weapons. For the most part, these weapons have extravagant designs and show a player’s class. These weapons will often last through the whole game, and there usually isn't a need to upgrade to a better weapon. Examples include the Excalibur and Anti-Champion Rifle.

Trivia

  • The damage increase for each grade upgrade is approximately 16.7%. For example, the Mega Destroyer at Legendary deals 64 damage, up from 56 at Epic, because , which is approximate to the 64 shown on this wiki and in tests. Evidently, the game's code rounds the damage results, as shown in the in-game UI.
  • Many removed weapons, like the Crystal Mega Destroyer, had a grade of Epic.
  • Originally, there was only one weapon that costs Coin or costs Gem, having a Mythical grade, while all Lucky Chest weapons did. The Mythical grade proves how rarely one obtained weapons from the Lucky Chest. In 13.0.0 update more Mythical weapon parts were made obtainable from the clan chests. After the update any Mythical weapons in the armory became Legendary. In update 13.1.2, more guns were added with Mythical grades, incorporating the color scheme of the Champion League. These weapons are the Champion Peacemaker, Champion Mercenary, Champion Electric Arc, Anti-Champion Rifle, and Champion Solar Cannon.
  • Pets also have a grading system but the grading system to them is different. Their grades depend on the eggs used to get them, their method of obtaining, and probability of getting, but not how much they cost.
  • Fort and Tank items also have a grading system, but they cannot be upgraded to a different rarity, unlike Weapons.
  • Epic avatars or Battle Royale skins take 250 parts to craft, Legendary takes 200 parts, and Mythical Battle Royale skins or avatars take only 100 parts to craft.
  • Anyone who bought a Common weapon before 16.0.0 will have a 50/50 chance of having their Common weapons upgraded to Rare.
    • There is no way to obtain a Common weapon, aside from the starter weapons or extremely occasional events, such as the Fulfillment of Desires Lottery.
  • Mythical weapons are undoubtedly the strongest weapons in the game, worth approximately 50 USD when buying their parts without any offers, and possessing various useful attributes, like Critical Damage and X-Ray Vision.
    • However, before the price change (notably before 15.1.0 Update), obtaining an event Mythical weapon costed over 200 USD.
    • Moving on, there are a few Mythical weapons, on the contrary, that are objectively extremely under-powered and weak, even compared to certain Legendary ones. Cases of this include the Spruce Pistol, the Sniper Cyber Module, and the Ectoplasmic Grenade Launcher.
  • Ever since the 16.5.0 update, the developers have only released Mythical and Legendary weapons. No weapons of any lower grades have been released since. The Desert Fighter is the the only exception, but it is only available in the Battle Royale game-mode, and the only known ways of getting it permanently in the Armory have been its accidental release and a Season Chest (the latter method apparently places its obtainability at an extremely low probability, however).[1]
