The Map Selection Menu icon.

This article describes a Pixel Gun 3D content. If you are looking for the same content in Pixel Gun World, see Map Selection (PGW).

The Map Selection is a menu that can let you choose any mode and any map, introduced in the same update which introduced Multiplayer.

Appearance

Button

It is a green button which has, on the slight bottom, written "Battle Now!" in white. There is a shield which is color blue on the left side and red on the right. It has silver edges with 6 placed screws: 3 screws are located at the top shield edge and 3 of them are located at the bottom shield edge. A tiny silver line separates the two colors (blue and red). A black assault rifle, which is the Combat Rifle, is placed towards the shield and it is flipped to the left.

The Map Selection Menu when opened.

The Map Selection displays a large menu containing modes and maps. It also shows the background.

On the left, it displays 5 yellow buttons, which are all modes. On the left of each button, it displays the mode logo, which is dark brown, and from the center to the right of the button, it indicates the mode name. On the top right corner of each mode button, there is a "x2 reward" text displayed on white, and its background is red. This message disappears once you got the x2 reward in a specific mode.

When a mode is selected, the logo turns golden, the text turns white and the rest of the button turns transparent. The x2 reward part doesn't modify its appearance.

On the top left corner, it displays the Experience and the League bars, which may not seem to be relevant to the menu. On the top middle corner, there is "Multiplayer" written on yellow and bold. On the top right corner, it has a yellow Armory button, in which on the left side of the button, indicates a cart, drawn dark brown. On the center and the right side of the button, "Armory" is written on dark brown.

The right side of the menu indicates all of the maps available in a specific mode. On the top, it displays a cosmetic and transparent bar, in which on the middle, says "Choose map", written on white. Next, the first rectangle always indicates the "Random map" button. The Random map button has a blue radial with question marks and a dice. The text is written on yellow. For the rest of the maps, it shows the picture of each map, shows the map name capitalized and written on yellow at the top of the picture and displays a transparent bar which indicates the player amount and the map size. On the bottom, it displays a cosmetic and transparent bar, in which on the middle, says "Mode rules", written on white. Below it, it displays the rules of a specific mode, written in yellow.

At the very bottom, it displays four buttons (five if you play Team Fight or Deathmatch):

  • A back button: It is a yellow button which displays the left flesh.
  • A local button: It is a yellow button which says "Local", written on a darker shade of yellow.
  • A random button: It is an orange button which says "Random", written on a darker shade of orange.
  • A custom button: It is a blue button which says "Custom", written on a darker shade of blue.
  • A go button: It is a green button which says "Go!", written on a darker shade of green.

On the top of the "Local", "Random" and "Custom" buttons, it displays a text saying "Alternative ways to play", written on white.

Finally, once you select a map, it will have yellow edges. When you click the "Go!" button, a gray button, located at the center of the screen, will say "Connecting to server...", written in white. There is a smaller button, which is colored red, and it is the "Cancel" button. "Cancel" is written in a darker shade of red.

Trivia

  • This counterpart of the Map Selection doesn't have a chatroom, while the PC counterpart does.
  • You need to click "Battle Now" in order to go to the Map Selection Menu screen.
  • It had multiple redesigns:
    • In the 8.0.0 update, it has been completely redesigned in a way you could select modes and maps in one screen.
    • In the 11.0.0 update, instead of a slideshow type of selection, the map icons were placed like a grid. A random map button was also added, and it generally has a more modern-like and a cleaner interface.
  • Sandbox maps have a separate map selection menu.
  • In the 6.0.0 update, Flag Capture replaced Boss Battle.
  • Most of the modes require a certain level in order to unlock, while
  • If you are level 1, then you can only play in Heaven Garden, Nuclear City, Paradise Resort and Pool Party in Team Fight.
  • In the 12.0.0 update, there is a bugs which doesn't display the player amount or the map size.
  • In the 11.0.0 update, a Random map button has been added, which is used to choose a random map.
